Hitit University Sustainability Office Visits the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion (ÇEM)

Under the leadership of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nurcan Baykam, the Hitit University Sustainability Office visited the General Directorate of Combating Desertification and Erosion (ÇEM) on October 3, 2025, at the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in Ankara, upon the official invitation of the Directorate.

During the meeting, following the presentation by the technical team and discussions with ÇEM General Director Prof. Dr. Kasım Yenigün, potential project and collaboration opportunities between Hitit University and ÇEM in the field of sustainability were explored. The parties exchanged ideas on developing joint initiatives in environment, urbanization, and climate-related areas, supporting sustainability-oriented projects, and identifying potential fields of application.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was agreed that the ÇEM delegation will pay a visit to Hitit University in the coming months to further advance cooperation.
